Shannon Monk

I have specialized in working in education and with First Nations for over 35 years. I created the Indigenous CIRCLE Approach to Cultural Confidence ™ (https://sakatay-global.teachable.com/) to give organizations and individuals the knowledge and understanding necessary to create strong relations with Indigenous colleagues, customers, and partners. I am passionate about providing safe and welcoming learning environments for people to explore concepts related to cultural education and reconciliation.

I am of Mi’kmaq (Lennox Island, PEI), Celtic (Eastern Shore, NS) and Jewish descent and a member of St. Theresa Point First Nation, an Oji-Cree fly-in community in northern Manitoba. I am the mother of four and grandmother of two and want to leave the world a better place for our next generations.
